Clare Yarwood-White

Brand strategy and writing for creative businesses that need a clearer message, a distinctive voice or help putting their website into words.

If you know the value of your work but struggle to explain it, Clare Yarwood-White may be useful to explore. She works with creative businesses and individuals to clarify what they want to say, who they want to reach and how their brand should sound.

What she can help with

  • Brand positioning, naming, tone of voice and key messages.
  • Website planning, page structure and copy.
  • Marketing materials, including brochures, proposals, scripts and award submissions.
  • Editing, brand reviews, workshops and ongoing writing support.

Her work can begin before a design project, giving your designer or developer a clearer brief, or help you put an existing visual identity into words.

Who it may suit

Creative founders, independent service businesses and small teams planning a launch, rebrand or new website. Her clients include designers, artists, photographers, hospitality businesses and heritage destinations.

It may be a useful fit if you want someone to work through the message with you as well as write the finished copy.

Inspiration Space note: If a new website is on your list, consider whether the words need attention first. Clarifying your offer and message can help you decide what the website needs to do and give your design team something concrete to work from.

How it works

Start with a conversation about your project. Clare then provides a written proposal outlining the work, timescales and costs. Projects can cover strategy, finished copy or both, and she can collaborate with your existing creative team.

Ongoing support is also available through repeat projects or monthly retainers.

Cost and access

Clare’s supplied 2026 service pack gives these starting prices:

  • Short marketing copy: from £300.
  • Consultancy: from £95 an hour.

What to check before committing

Look through Clare’s portfolio to judge whether her approach fits the way you want your business to sound. Before agreeing the project, confirm the deliverables, revision rounds, timetable and what she needs from you.

If you are commissioning a website, clarify who is responsible for design, development, uploading the copy and any ongoing search work. Agree which of those tasks are included in the fee.
