Inspiration Space began as a room of requirement in 2018. A place to breathe new life into old ways of working, without judgement or stale pastries.

2018–2019We made the room
we wanted to be in
In 2018, Inspiration Space opened its doors in Surrey with a simple idea: breathe new life into old ways of working. We wanted somewhere useful, interesting and considerably less corporate.
People came to learn, work, eat, experiment and gather. Conversations became collaborations. People shared what they knew and asked for help with what they didn’t. We took the work seriously, ourselves, not so much.
CHAPTER 2
2020–2022Then the world
closed its doors
When lockdown arrived, Inspiration Space was already growing beyond one room. Five of seven enterprise hubs were running across Surrey and Hampshire, so when in-person gathering stopped, we moved online quickly to keep the momentum going.
The questions changed too. Founders were no longer just looking for inspiration; they needed practical help with customers, pricing, offers, cash flow and what to do next when the plan stopped behaving like the plan.
2021
We turned ambition into evidence
New Beginnings reimagined MBA-level entrepreneurship for real life. Across six cohorts, it became the start of 10,000+ hours of 1:1 support — helping founders test assumptions, shape offers and turn possibility into a go-to-market plan
2022
We made responsibility part of how business gets done
Carbon Literacy turned climate awareness into action. Founders and teams learned how to understand emissions, make credible commitments and build better for people, planet and profit.
CHAPTER 3
2023–2025We started questioning
the format too
We had built programmes, commissioned experts, tested tools, interviewed founders and supported hundreds of businesses. We had also learned that not every useful question needs a course to answer it.
As the online world grew noisier, we stepped away from the cohort model, made more of the work accessible and started finding reasons to gather in person again. The annual Not Christmas Lunch was one of them.

2026 and beyondWe’re keeping the good stuff and making more space for what comes next
Years of programmes, conversations, experiments and mistakes have left us with something worth carrying forward: useful knowledge, hard-won judgement and a remarkable constellation of people.
Now we’re putting those things back into motion and making more room for the ideas, collaborations and serendipitous encounters they might spark.

LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
The world changed. The questions stayed remarkably human.
I started Inspiration Space because building something of your own can be lonely, confusing and considerably messier than the version people tell afterwards.
Since 2018, I’ve watched the tools change, the language change and the amount of advice become frankly ridiculous.
AI can now surface an answer in seconds. What it cannot decide is what matters to you, what fits your circumstances or which trade-off you are willing to make.
Those questions still need context, judgement and occasionally another human being across the table.
So we’re keeping what has always mattered: useful knowledge shared generously, honest thinking when the answer is complicated, and reasons for interesting people to gather.
There’s no such thing as finished in business. You remain unfinished...or else you die.
