The form has changed. The instinct has not.
Since 2018, Inspiration Space has taken several forms. Through all of them, the instinct has remained the same: share useful knowledge, offer practical support and create reasons for good people to come together.
Start with Chapter 1 ↓It started as a place you could walk into.
Inspiration Space opened in Surrey in 2018. It was a place for self-starters, freelancers, founders and people working out what they wanted to build — with masterclasses, meet-ups, supper clubs, coworking and room for ideas that were not finished yet.
The room closed. The questions got sharper.
Gathering moved online in 2020. The questions people brought became increasingly practical: what should I build, who needs it, will they pay and how can the work fit the rest of my life?
- 2021 — New Beginnings added a structured 90-day programme.
- 2022 — Carbon Literacy became part of the work.
Fewer programmes. More of the actual work.
The final New Beginnings cohort ran in 2024. By then, more of the work had become focused and applied: helping somebody untangle a decision, test an idea, shape an offer or work out what the business needed next.
Everything we had learned, put somewhere useful.
In 2026, the explanations, tools, stories and learning accumulated through the work became Inspiration Space Library. The Library makes useful business knowledge easier to reach. Work with us is for situations that need experienced judgement. house of hopium carries the gathering forward.
Still the same instinct.
