This page explains how we handle personal information when you use the website, create a Library account, join our mailing list, contact us or book a session.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Inspiration Space is operated by Elevate & Fly Ltd, company number 11580723. Elevate & Fly Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described on this page.

Our registered office is C/O Virtual Company Secretary Ltd, 7 York Road, Woking, United Kingdom, GU22 7XH.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@theinspirationspace.co.

2. What information we collect

When you use the website

Our website receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring page and the pages you visit.

When you create or use a Library account

We collect your email address and any name or preferences you choose to provide. Ghost records the information needed to create your account, send a magic sign-in link and maintain your signed-in session. Library accounts do not use passwords.

When you join The Good News or another mailing list

We collect your email address, the list you joined, when and how you signed up, and records of email delivery, opens, clicks and unsubscribes.

When you complete a form or contact us

HubSpot provides forms on the website. We collect the information requested on the form, such as your name, email address, organisation and the details of your enquiry. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information included in your message.

When you register for an event

Our event links take you to Luma. Luma collects the information requested on the event page, such as your name, email address, ticket choice and answers to registration questions. For a paid event, Luma or its connected payment provider also processes the payment information needed to complete your booking.

When you book or buy a session

Our booking link takes you to Calendly. Calendly collects the information requested on the booking page, including your name, email address, time zone, booking answers and chosen appointment.

Stripe processes payment at the time of booking. We receive confirmation of the payment and the information needed to identify the buyer, provide the service and keep financial records. We do not receive or store your full card number.

3. How and why we use it

Website operation

We use technical information to deliver the website, protect it from misuse and diagnose faults. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website. You can browse public pages without creating an account.

Library accounts

We use your email address to create the account, send your sign-in link and open account-only Resources. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract: providing the free account you request. If you do not provide an email address, you can still browse public pages but cannot open account-only Resources.

Forms and enquiries

We use form responses and messages to understand and reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where your enquiry concerns a possible booking or project, we may also use it to take steps at your request before entering a contract.

Event registrations

We use registration information to reserve your place, provide event information, manage tickets and deliver the event. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract, including where the ticket is free. If you choose to join a separate mailing list while registering, we use your consent for those emails.

Bookings and purchases

We use booking and purchase information to confirm the appointment, prepare for and deliver the service, manage changes, take payment and keep tax and accounting records. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations. We cannot provide a paid session without the required booking and payment details.

Business administration

We may use relevant information to handle a complaint, obtain professional advice, protect our legal rights or meet a legal requirement. The lawful basis will depend on the circumstances and will usually be legal obligation or legitimate interests.

4. Marketing emails

We send The Good News and other optional marketing emails when you have asked to receive them. Our lawful basis is consent.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@theinspirationspace.co. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did while your consent was valid.

Account, booking and service messages are not marketing. We may still send them when needed to provide something you requested.

5. Who processes information for us

We use service providers to run specific parts of Inspiration Space:

  • Ghost hosts the website, manages Library accounts and member sign-in, and sends our email newsletters.
  • HubSpot provides website forms and stores the contact details and enquiry information submitted through them.
  • Luma manages event pages, registrations, tickets and event messages when you choose to attend.
  • Calendly manages appointment availability, booking details and reminders when you choose to book.
  • Stripe processes card payments made through the booking journey.
  • Our professional advisers may receive relevant information when we need accounting, legal, insurance or other professional help.

We share only the information needed for each provider to perform its role. We do not sell personal information.

Some service providers may process personal information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed for the website, Library member sign-in and website forms to work. Where optional analytics, marketing or third-party technologies require consent, we ask for it before they are set or accessed.

You can manage optional choices through Cookie Settings and block or clear cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may stop Library sign-in or forms from working.

Luma, Calendly and Stripe operate their own pages as part of event registration, booking and payment journeys. Their privacy and cookie notices apply when you use those services.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements.

We keep an active mailing-list record until you unsubscribe, the address stops working or we close the list. After you unsubscribe, we keep the minimum information needed to make sure we do not add you back by mistake.

We keep contracts, invoices and core transaction records for six years after the end of the financial year to which they relate, unless the law or a live dispute requires us to keep them longer.

We keep event-registration information while it is needed to administer the event and deal with questions afterwards. Luma keeps information according to its own retention settings and privacy notice.

Other information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed. When deciding this, we consider the nature of the information, why we collected it, whether the relationship is still active and whether a legal claim or obligation requires a record to be kept.

7. Your rights and how to raise a concern

Depending on the information, lawful basis and circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of your personal information;
  • correct information that is incomplete or wrong;
  • ask us to delete information;
  • ask us to restrict how information is used;
  • object to use based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • receive information you supplied in a portable format where the right applies; and
  • withdraw consent at any time.

These rights are not absolute. For example, we may need to keep invoice information to meet tax obligations after you ask us to close an account.

To exercise a right or raise a concern, email hello@theinspirationspace.co. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records. We normally respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You do not have to contact us before making a complaint, although we would welcome the chance to resolve the issue.
