The workflow it improves
After a client call, workshop or café conversation, actions and decisions can disappear into scattered notes. Granola combines what you write with a transcript to produce a more usable record that you can search and revisit.
What stands out
The desktop app captures computer and microphone audio without placing a bot in the meeting. Its mobile app supports in-person conversations. You can take rough notes while talking, then organise them with AI; notes are private until shared. Granola says it stores transcripts and notes rather than retaining meeting audio.
Why it’s in the Directory
It treats the conversations that happen away from a video platform as part of the same working record. That matters when client work moves between calls, rooms and informal meetings.
Watch-outs
Check audio quality in your actual settings and whether the free history limit is sufficient. Review Granola’s privacy, training, retention and sharing controls against your client or employer obligations. Give participants appropriate notice and obtain any consent required for capture. AI notes can miss nuance or assign commitments incorrectly, so correct them before relying on or sharing them.
Cost and access
The free plan includes AI notes and limited history. Business adds unlimited history and integrations; Enterprise adds administration and security controls. Compare current plan terms before depending on a paid feature.
Try it if…
Test one ordinary online meeting and one face-to-face conversation, then assess the accuracy of decisions and actions against your own notes.
